DotAge
A Golden Needle in a Haystack
I don't quite remember what lead to me finding this game.
I think what happened is, I was browsng the store and
found the Game Demo on the page. I was into Age of Empires during that time, and
the switch to turn-based strategy was very welcomed for me. When I installed the Demo,
I instantly LOVED the gameplay. I have spend numerous hours, days with only this Game.
Although I have never finished the game on Normal difficulty. Embarrasing really.
Neither do I fully understand how some of the systems work, like the entire milk industry.
Would be nice to have some kind of Wiki for that XD
Well, I was waiting for the game's release with shaking hands, literally hovering my hand
over the "purchase" button on steam, waiting for the second it hit release time. I think
I was one of the first people who purchased it funnily enough XD. And I don't regret it
in the slightest.
How I broke the Game
Soo... the Demo was pretty much the full game without the price tag.
I finished it multiple times before the game came out, and one thing about Dot Age is,
you earn Puzzle pieces by surviving encounters. Those puzzle pieces were cool because
they allowed you to unlock new gameplay elements. I quickly unlocked all the gameplay
Elements available in the Demo, And by the time the game came out, I had
like, 200 puzzle pieces .
Why is that a problem?
Well, when the game came out and I immediately (like, literally seconds after it released)
bought it, I realized the game kept all my Demo Scores. Cool, right?
Well, together with all my demo scores, it kept all my puzzle pieces. Which meant,
I had a HUGE headstart on the game. Sadly, I haven't really seen much of the content, or maybe
I just didn't notice it? But... that was funny XD.
