Inscryption
My favourite Card Game
Inscryption is a Wundergame for me. It's a Masterpiece like no other,
captivating me like rarely any game managed. The story of the game, the multidimension of
it all, its insane.
I first heard of it from the
Game Theory Channel, because
they made a theory regarding the story of this Eery Floppy Disk game. I was captivated,
the game looked fun and I was bored. So after a while of contemplating and thinking, I
finally bought it. Best decision ever.
What followed were the best gameplay days of my life. I fell in love with the Act 1 Gameplay,
solving puzzles and most importantly trying to beat leshy, over and over again. When I finally
Got to the Second Act, I honestly felt a bit dissapointed because the atmosphere changed
massively, and left the game to sit in my library, until I started it up again, and accidentally
deleted all my progress while showing the game to a friend. This forced me to redo the whole
first Act, and after that, I pushed through the Second and finally beat the third Act.
Right now I'm balls deep in the Kaycees Mod, having reached I think level 10 already (?).
I sometimes start it up for a single round, and there wasn't a minute where I didn't enjoy
loosing to or beating Leshy over and over again.
How I made the game IRL
So, right about after I finished the game, I was hungry for extra content.
I really wanted to play the game Multiplayer. It's unbalanced, but its really really fun,
so I wanted to make the cards IRL. I printed all the cards on paper and on vacation in Poland,
I bought some cheap playing cards that I glued the paper on.
I was using my time in the Cabin in Poland to glue the cards while watching mysticat's videos
in the backgrounds. It was monotone, sure, but it was also really fun to add little accent
colors to the black and white cards.
I have finished over 50 cards in the span of like, 3 days. Since then I have only
played the game a handful of times with some friends, but I honestly just think its amazing I even
have something remotely similar to a physical copy of the game.
I didn't have any Bones, so I used a bunch ow wooden bullets from my brothers Rifle building Set,
and stored them in a Sock. I also made a cool little foldable Board.
